A painting by Colby wildlife artist Jeremy Paul has won a major award at the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art (NEWA ) which has just taken place on The Wirral.
The painting ‘Winter Light’ depicts a barn owl flying over Kionslieu Lake, Foxdale on a winter morning won the ‘British Wildlife’ award for Wildlife in its Environment.
“As ‘wildlife in its environment’ my main aim in most of my paintings, I am really pleased to get this award. This is the sort of work I really enjoy doing”
The original painting is sold but a limited edition print (95 copies only) is now available at the Sayle Gallery.
The exhibition is the largest open exhibition of wildlife art in the UK – it has been running annually for over 20 years and attracts over 17000 visitors.
Jeremy’s next exhibition on the Island will take place at the Sayle Gallery, Douglas, from October 30th to December 22nd
